Anamaria is an Romanian Actress. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. The father of her mother was an actor, and her mother a violinist. The Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, she was recognized as an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She also was awarded numerous honors for her work in 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. Her role on Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 months 3 weeks and 2 days (4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 days) was awarded three weeks and a day. Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two additional awards: the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. She also appeared as a character in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared on her own Romanian drama Boogie and Oliver Hirschbiegels Five Minutes of Heaven. Then, she played an important role in 2014's Fury where she played Irma the German maternal aunt to Emma.
